Visit the new home of Danish interiors in Aotearoa – BoConcept’s moody Ōtautahi flagship.

If you needed more proof of Ōtautahi Christchurch’s continued rejuvenation, look no further than BoConcept’s recently opened flagship store on Manchester Street – around the corner from the city’s shiny new stadium Te Kaha and in the heart of the rapidly evolving lower CBD precinct.

BoConcept had previously spent 10 years in Merivale. As well as being in the heart of the city, the new space, at 400 square metres, is also twice the size of the original. “There’s a real buzz in Christchurch right now, with strong momentum across the South Island,” says BoConcept’s New Zealand managing director Jeff Davoren.

The store also shows off BoConcept’s latest global brand store fitout, in moody shades of brown and beige, with a softly industrial look and ambient lighting. It’s a big shift for the Danish design company, which started in Herning, Denmark in 1952 – though the New Zealand brand is locally owned and operated.

The new store also allows plenty of room for BoConcept’s interior-design service, offering tailored support ranging from in-store guidance to complete in-home solutions. “This new space gives us the opportunity to better connect with our customers and the design community, while showcasing the full depth of what BoConcept offers,” says Davoren.
