Which white? It’s a question that plagues many of us when painting our homes. Swatch after swatch, we compare the pale paints, with hues running the gamut from crisp to creamy.
Although a seemingly simple decision, the right white can help set the tone in the home. And while some are blinding and some are beige, others, like Dulux Mt Hutt, find a calm, considered balance in the middle.
Inspired by the snow-capped peaks of Canterbury, Dulux Mt Hutt is a soft, chalky tone designed for both indoor and outdoor use. As the newest addition to the Dulux Colours of New Zealand range, the neutral white “offers an understated elegance that adapts seamlessly to any space”, says Dulux colour specialist Davina Harper.
Subtly soft without teetering into the realm of yellow, Dulux Mt Hutt’s clean brightness means it sits well alongside other colours, particularly warm greys and beiges. A great pairing to natural textures, it also suits a supporting role, adding depth when used as a trim against a crisper white wall. More fail-safe than feature, the versatile new white is an easy choice that’s even easier to live with.
DULUX MT HUTT
A soft, chalky, neutral white that suits almost any space, inside and out. Dulux Mt Hutt is the perfect choice as either a main wall colour on interiors and exteriors, or as a window and trim colour. This versatile white works well with warmer greys and beiges such as Dulux Haast Double, Dulux Kai Iwi Lakes and Dulux Roys Peak. If using Dulux Mt Hutt as a main wall colour, try pairing it with crisp white Dulux Southern Alps on the windows and trims.
