Our first anniversary issue – a year of Here!

This magazine celebrates houses with a connection to landscape and place. From a tough little crib on the coast in the Catlins by Rich Naish of RTA Studio to Ron Sang's own 1980s home in the trees in Remuera, Tāmaki Makaurau, via Al Brown's uptown apartment, they're all deeply rooted in a sense of place.

Elsewhere, architect Gerrad Dombroski builds a hut from found materials at Driving Creek on the Coromandel Peninsula, and we check out the new store of Yu Mei in Newmarket, Tāmaki Makaurau, along with the new and very lovely Intrepid Hotel just off Cuba Street in Pōneke Wellington.

It's a beautiful issue, starting with silver foil on the masthead, and extending through our feature pages, designed by our guest creatives, artist Ann Shelton and her designer partner Duncan Munro, who have made digital artworks from the pixels in the photos themselves.
