Open Home Gisborne

Our Open Home series with Dulux heads to a clever courtyard house in Gisborne, TΕ«ranganui-a-Kiwa.

Back in February, we featured the delightful home and studio of Shane Kingsbeer and fiancΓ©e Kate O’Connor in the gentrifying Ballance Street, just outside Whataupoko, downtown Gisborne.Β

‍

The couple has built on a site that accommodates a studio for Kingsbeer, and a house for themselves and their young family. β€œBeing present is more important than anything,” says Kingsbeer. β€œI just don’t want to go all day without seeing my daughters.”

‍

Β Set back on the site, with neighbours close by, the house looks inward to a lush courtyard and forward to a flat lawn – it’s compact but generous, with great light and excellent custom cabinetry. It’s one of our favourites – weΒ look forward to seeing you there.Β

‍

Note: our Open Home series has been designed specifically to operate safely at Covid Level-2, with small groups, social distancing and QRΒ scanning as standard.
